RISE CHURCH IS EXPANDING | LEARN MORE

NEW  HERE?

At Rise Church, we want you to feel welcome...just as you are. We created this page for your first visit so you know what to expect when you join us for a weekend service. Hopefully this will make visiting a new church a little less overwhelming. We can't wait to see you!

What to Expect

Connection Center

We'd love to meet you! Stop by the Connection Center in the lobby after the service to pick up a free gift for you and your family. Our friendly team can also help answer any questions you may have about Rise Church or any of our ministries and upcoming events.

Kids Check-In

While you're attending the service, we have an amazing kids program available with a special environment created just for them. Classes for infants-5th grade are available during all of our service times. All volunteers are background checked and trained to serve your child. If it's your first time, show up about 10 minutes early to get your child checked-in at the RiseKids Tent! You can save time by pre-registering your children today using this form:

The Service

Our services are typically around an hour long and include  worship music and a message from the Bible. You'll most likely hear some of your favorite worship songs and occasionally even in another language! (There are 17 languages spoken at Rise Church!) Our pastors teach truth from the Bible that can be applied to our lives in a way that anyone can understand.

The Rise Cafe

At Rise, we believe in encouraging community. That's why we offer a fully-functioning cafe on Sunday morning. Come early or stay after to enjoy a specialty coffee drink with old and new friends. If it's your first visit, you get a free beverage of your choice!

How To Dress?

People dress casually at Rise Church. Whether you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt or your favorite date night attire, you'll fit right in! What you won't see are suits and ties. Don't worry...Jesus didn't wear those either.

What About Teens?

Students at Rise Church enjoy participating in the weekend services as much as adults do! They get something out of the message, decide to get baptized, invite their friends to worship, and even serve on ministry teams. Rise Students also have their own special activities to help them grow in their faith throughout the week.

Next  Steps

Ready to Take the Next Step?

NEWCOMER DESSERT SOCIAL

This is an opportunity to connect with our pastors and staff, learn more about the heart and vision of Rise Church, and ask any questions you may have.

Our next Newcomer Dessert will be in the spring.

COFFEE CHATS

We want everyone at Rise Church to know us and be known by us. A healthy church is built on relationships, so schedule a coffee meeting with some of our leaders. We'll answer any questions you may have and get to know you!

BAPTISM

If you're interested in learning more about committing your life to Jesus, what it means to follow Him, or getting baptized, we'd love to help you take this next step.

People make the decision to be baptized every month at Rise Church! Our next baptisms will be on Sunday, April 28 at all services.

RISE 101

Come discover what our church is all about! This 2-hour class is an introduction to our church family and is designed to explain who and what our church is. Whether you're new to Rise or have been coming for years, this class will answer any questions you may have. You were designed to be part of a church family and we hope Rise can be that family for you!

JOIN A GROUP

Joining a group is the best way to get connected and build meaningful relationships while growing in your faith. We have over 30 small groups meeting throughout the week in homes all across Visalia and Tulare, on-campus, and in coffee shops. We'd love to get you connected!

SERVE

At Rise, we want to BE the church, not just GO to church. One of the best ways to make this happen is by serving on a Rise Team. Whether it's serving kids or students, helping make our weekend services happen, or greeting people with a smile, you can make a difference in the life of our church by serving others. There are over 30 teams to choose from that take your gifts, talents, and passions into consideration. If you're part of this family, it's time to move from simply being an "attender" to being a "contributor."

TAKE A CLASS

To follow Jesus means to LIVE for Him and LEARN from Him. We offer a variety of classes to grow in your knowledge and understanding of the Bible, the essentials of the Christian faith, and putting your faith into practice.
